Anusrijana-Translation Bureau

The word Dravidian by tradition has a spectrum of meanings centering on the common social, linguistic, geographic, cultural and political aspects of the people of 27 languages across the country and Baluchistan. A constellation with common roots and bound by linguistic and cultural bonds, the Dravidian, has survived to this day while greatest civilizations after their hey-days declined and fell. The Dravidian genius manifests as a distinct linguistic and cultural group and an ancient civilization.
The University started a Translation Bureau and Prasaranga in 2005 to undertake translation works and publish them from one Dravidian language to another and also into English in order to present the Dravidian heritage and its genius to all the linguistic groups interested in the area. They aims, at the first instance, to bring out translations of classics, both of classical and modern master pieces, creative and critical which have a historical significance. They also aim to bring out monographs directly in the Dravidian Languages and English on pioneer writers and prominent concepts of Dravidian Studies.
