 VEMANA BHAVAN

Vemana Bhavanis presently housing the administrative complex comprising the offices of the Vice-Chancellor, the Registrar and the other administrative wings of the University. It is named after Vemana, the greatest of the saint-poets of Andhra Pradesh who lived in 17th century. His rational and philosophical musings in the form of didactic verses are household sayings among the Telugu speaking people of the country. His verses with moral, satirical, religious, mystical and philosophical perceptions are hailed as the guiding light of Telugu society.

 

THIRUVALLUVAR BHAVAN
Named after the author of Tirukkural, the greatest classic of the Tamil language, Thiruvalluvarstands on par with Pathanjali, Sankara and Buddha. This Bhavan houses various disciplines, both humanities and general sciences and illustrates the vision of the saint, who professed work-culture as the synthesis of all cultures.
 

 NARAYANAGURU BHAVAN

Named after one of the greatest reformers and social philosophers, Sri Narayanaguru who strove through his writings and preachings for developing a popular movement for a casteless society integrating the real spirit of humanity. Narayanaguru, symbolizes the idealism of a Guru who guides towards the path of wisdom. The Narayanaguru Bhavan is christened justifiably as the abode of human wisdom, the library of the University.
 

BASAVA BHAVAN

Named after one of the great social and political philosophers, a revolutionary of medieval India, Basavanna, who professed that ‘your labour is your salvation’ (kaayakavee kailaasa) and led the first known popular movement of working classes towards spiritual integration. The Basava Bhavan accommodates exclusively the School of Information Science and Technology.
 

PERIYAR BHAVAN

Named after the pioneer of Dravidian Movement, hailed by UNESCO as Socrates of South East Asia, Sri Periyar Ramaswamy Nayakar who was committed to scientific social reformation. The Periyar Bhavan accommodates School of Commerce and Management.

VIDYAA BHAVAN

Sri Vidyaa Bhavan located at the threshold of the University reminding the grace of the mystic goddess of human life and learning, Sri Vidyaa, highly revered in the Indian tradition.

Emeneau House

M.B. Emeneau and T. Burrow are the two great scholars in Dravidian Studies whose phenomenal works Dravidian Etymological Dictionary affected a significant advance in Dravidian studies. One of the main roads is dedicated to Burrow and the University Guest House is named after Emeneau. The dedication ceremony was mastered by Prof. Bh. Krishnamurti, another    internationally reputed Dravidianist.  It has a mini auditorium and seminar hall with all modern facilities.

HARAPPA BHAVAN

Harappa Bhavan

Reminding the antiquities of Indo-Dravidian culture at the pre-historic Harappa site, a spacious building at a cost of Rs.75 lakhs named as Harappa Bhavan. At present it is housing the School of Education & HRD.

Kangundi Hostel

Kangundi is a men’s hostel providing accommodation to 120 students. is coming up behind the Janasthan-III. It is named after ‘Kangundi’, the historical name associated with Kuppam, the centre of power of the first feudatories of the region who marked a niche for themselves during the British period of Indian History.

Akkamahaadevi Hostel

Named after the great saint poetess of Karnataka Akkamahaadevi, which can accommodated 100 girl students is nearing completion.

Saptagiri Hostel

          Saptagiri is another hostel nearing completion. 

Information Technology Laboratory

The University has a well-equipped modern computer laboratory with 70 systems to cater to the needs of the students of Computer Science. Internet connectivity is available round the clock.

English Language Laboratory

Language Education is skill based. In order to impart an effective training in language learning, consisting of the four integrated skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing - it is absolutely necessary. Hence, a language laboratory with multiple software has been established on the campus. Internet connectivity is available in all the computers of the English Language Laboratory

All the departments and centers of the University are network and internet connectivity is available round the clock.
