The motto of  ‘Anusrjana’  is to prove ‘translation as an act of patriotism’. Translation is also an act of preservation. It is preservation of culture. It is also a  resuccication of tradition, history and humanity. It is a restoration and resurrection of the classics of the languages. It serves to promote a spirit of emotional integration among the people of South Indian Languages by translating the great ancient works and the modern master pieces of the all Dravidian Languages into each other and one another.

In one word, we move ‘from the mother tongue to the other tongue’! Our other tongue does not mean ‘English’ alone! Our other tongues are the South Indian sister languages. In this age of ‘Globalisation’ we should be vary and cautious about the monolithic influence of English. That is why Post Modernism also supports the growth and development of regional languages, minority communities and marginal lives.

We have two things to do simultaneously. We must translate our great heriatage into the English written word and at the same time talk to one another in our regional languages and come closer to become more intimate. After all, all languages of a certain given region are contiguous. They are at times even contagious, which is surely note a sign of disease. Dravidian University is established most ideally in a tri-lingual junction. We are every soon coming out with an experiment- a collection of short stories entitled “Teluguannada Kathalu”. It is written in a mixed but harmonious style of both Telugu and Kannada dialects!
