M.Phil./Ph.D. (Integrated)* (Full-time only; stay on the campus is compulsory)

         Eligibility: M.A in respective languages/disciplines with 55% of marks; In case of Tulu M.A in Kannada; in case of Education M.A in any discipline along with M.Ed. with 55% marks in both the degrees.
    
Mode of Admission:  Through entrance test only
* This is an integrated programmme facilitating the students either to opt for M.Phil. after one year study and clearing the examination and submission of dissertation thereof or to continue for Ph.D. programmes which will be of  a minimum of two years duration.
         
Special Fellowship: The University Research Merit Fellowship of Rs.1200 will be given for the first three rankers in the entrance test for each of the above subjects for a period of two years to be extended for one more year on submission of a terminal report (No student is eligible for two scholarships at a time).

1. Ph.D. (Full-time/Part-time):  In all the Disciplines
   Eligibility: M. A with 55% of marks

2. M.Phil. or two research papers published in the area.
    Mode of Admission: Interview Test.
