Facilities
1 Library: Excellent library with a large collection of more than 55,000/- rare, reference and general books worth Rs.1,75,00,000/- have been collected to enrich the stock of the library.
2 The Internet Centre: Established in the University the centre provides access to the world of knowledge to the students.
3 The IT Laboratory: The University has two well-equipped modern computer laboratories. IPSTAR 256 kbps VSAT internet connectivity is available round the clock; besides a separate Lab for Bio-Informatics and Biotechnology.
4 Language Laboratory: The laboratory is used to equip the students with communication skills in English and also for the presentation of Audio-Visual material.
5 Fellowships for Students: Eligible students may apply, after admission, for the Social Welfare scholarships in the prescribed form in time. The University will only disburse the sanctioned amount to the students as per the rules of Social Welfare Departments.
The First three rankers of the Entrance Test conducted by the University for Ph.D. (Full-time) Programme will get scholarship of Rs.1200/- p.m for a period of 3 years plus contingencies per annum in case they work exclusively on Dravidian studies.

9 National Service Scheme (NSS): Three NSS units have been sanctioned for the University. The students and the University staff participate in various camps and other activities of the NSS Units.
10 Counselling and Internal Quality Assurance: Every student of the University will be under the counselling of a teacher who acts as his/her caretaker. The CBCS counsellor will also advise the students.

1. There are separate Hostels for Boys and Girls on the Dravidian University Campus.
2. All the students hailing from more than 20 KM radius of Dravidian University and eligible for Hostel Accommodation. However admission will be given depending upon the distance of their hometown and the availability of accommodation.

· Chenna Sai Kishore Gold-Medal for the First Ranker in M.C.A.
· “Kasipandyan Gold-Medal” likely to be instituted for the first ranker in M.A. History.
Special Incentives for Girl Students
Rs.1 fee only for the first three rankers among the girls and to the first ranker irrespective of the gender from other than professional courses selected through common entrance test.
A special concession of 50% fee to the first ranker irrespective of gender and to the first three rankers among the girls, selected through common entrance test of the professional courses.
