Objectives :
The Department of Tamil and Translation Studies Established in December 2005 with the following aims and objectives:
- Developing Tamil Studies in relation to other Major languages of the Dravidian family.
- Developing modern application of language studies with specific emphasis on the present day job market.
- Focus upon the comparative aspects of Dravidian Literature and Heritage and
- Imparting special training in translation activity.
