Centre for Preservation of Endangered
Dravidian Languages (CPeDL),
Dravidian University is the first centre established in India in 2007 to study, develop and document the endangered languages.
This centre is a part of he Dept. of Dravidian and Computational Linguistics, Dravidian University. Faculties of the
Dept. of Dravidian and Computational Linguistics are the members of the CPeDL. The CPeDL works with the guidance by the Advisory
Board of eminent linguists across India.
Centre for Preservation of Endangered Dravidian Languages (CPeDL) stands and works for linguistic justice for languages across India.
To ensure the linguistic justice, the CPeDL function as a training, resource, research, documentation,
revitalization, and developmental centre for all indigenous and endangered languages.
Human resource training for language documentation and revitalization;
advanced documentation of endangered languages;
revitalization and resource development of endangered languages;
advanced research, coordination and resource supply to all towards the mission.
